IGIC 2024
IGIC 2024 Event Overview
With the Middle East spearheading some of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the world, including the $1 trillion plus Neom city project, the International Geotechnical Innovation Conference (IGIC 2024) which took place in Jeddah on May 6-7, 2024, attracted 500+ delegates, including more than 40 industry-leading speakers.
IGIC 2024 strove to foster the Middle East & Gulf region’s ambitious growth plans, where tall buildings and skyscrapers form the core of its vision. The conference discussed best practices in optimizing geotechnical aspects central to improving design and construction of deep foundations, ground improvement and underground infrastructures, to enable safe, cost-effective and sustainable structures.
As a premier gathering in the field of geotechnical engineering, IGIC 2024 featured two intensive workshops, eight keynote presentations, over ten insightful sessions, and five comprehensive case studies, making it a must-attend event for industry professionals seeking to learn and forge the future of geotechnical engineering.
The forum showcased latest case studies from the region’s biggest construction projects, recent metro projects, bridges, tunnels and city development works and delved into core areas including innovative soil improvement and deep foundation solutions, soil structure interactions, AI and advanced technology solutions in geotechnics.
IGIC 2024 not only served as a hub for knowledge exchange but also featured world-class exhibition showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions in geotechnical engineering. The Conference has successfully positioned itself as an annual calendar and must-attend regional event for geotechnical and civil engineers, project owners, contractors and consultants, related authorities, and academia aiming to stay at the forefront of industry advancements.
